Contract Sr. Backend Developer (Python & Go)

Full-Time, Fixed-Term contract 3+ months, extension option)

YourCode, in partnership with a well-established global software consultancy organisation, is

currently aiming to hire an experienced Backend Developer with proficiency in Python and Go,

at senior level, to work on supporting an end-client focused on AI, robotic software

development. The individual will be joining on a contract, full-time basis for an initial 3 month

period with the possibility of subsequent extension, remotely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

➔ Designing, building, and maintaining backend systems with a strong focus on

performance, scalability, and availability;

➔ Analysing requirements, participating in design and code reviews, and providing effort

estimates using methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall;

➔ Suggesting and implementing code optimisations and refactoring based on industry best

practices and internal coding standards;

➔ Contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing through mentoring, internal presentations,

and technical discussions;

➔ Continuously enhancing your skills and staying current with emerging technologies and

development trends;

➔ Providing guidance to junior developers by assisting with training, task allocation, and

performance monitoring;

KEY REQUIREMENTS (TECH ENVIRONMENT)

➔ Proficiency in backend development with a focus on Python & Go (5+yrs);

➔ Experience working with TypeScript and SQL;

➔ Prior exposure to Google Cloud Platform Services;

➔ Prior exposure to or willingness to work with Pulumi/similar infrastructure-as-code tools;

➔ Prior experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs;

➔ Prior exposure to or willingness to work with image processing;

➔ Prior exposure to or willingness to work with object detection models;
