Role Overview:
We are looking for a Network Security Architect to integrate one of our Nearshore teams working for international clients from The Netherlands, Germany and other European countries.
This role involves defining and implementing strategic directions for network and application security, leveraging technologies such as Akamai (WAF, EAA), Azure Security, and advanced DNS solutions (UltraDNS, DNSSEC).
The work can be done fully remotely or you can come to our offices in Lisbon or Porto, whenever you feel the need to.
What you will do:
- Ensure secure, stable, and efficient operation of cloud-based infrastructure and automation services;
- Lead the design and maintenance of Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, GitLab, and scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash);
- Drive automation and standardisation to enhance scalability and deployment consistency;
- Troubleshoot complex incidents using data-driven diagnostics and collaborate across infrastructure, network, and security teams;
- Apply cloud architecture, DNS, networking, and security principles including zero-trust and least privilege;
- Maintain compliance with governance and audit standards through robust access management and logging;
- Translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions;
- Promote continuous improvement through documentation, process optimisation, and knowledge sharing.
What you are like:
- Proficient in Terraform, Python, Go, and Bash for automation and infrastructure management;
- Experienced with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains;
- Strong understanding of web and application security (OWASP Top 10, bot mitigation, API protection);
- Solid grasp of DNS, networking, and HTTP traffic flow;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach;
- Familiar with ITIL operations and agile methodologies;
- Proficient in English (spoken and written) - as you will be collaborating daily with international teams.
