SDET (Remote - India or Philippines)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) in India and the Philippines.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of complex software systems through automated testing. You will collaborate closely with product engineers to design testable solutions, automate repetitive checks, and maintain a robust testing ecosystem. Your work will directly impact the stability and success of applications, including desktop and AI-powered features. This hands-on role combines software development with quality assurance, giving you the opportunity to influence the efficiency of CI/CD pipelines and enhance product reliability. You will contribute to building high-quality software while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment aligned with U.S. schedules.

Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for desktop and web applications, ensuring robust test coverage
• Conduct bi-weekly regression testing to guarantee stable releases and reliable feature performance
• Identify gaps in test plans and design automated tests for untested or high-risk areas
• Collaborate with developers to validate pull requests, maintain build stability, and ensure high-quality code delivery
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions
• Design test cases for AI-powered features, validating intelligent behavior and performance
  
  
  

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript
• Experience with Playwright or similar frameworks for automated browser and UI testing
• Solid understanding of Git and standard version control workflows
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions
• Ability to debug across the stack and write maintainable, high-quality code
• Detail-oriented, pragmatic, and collaborative mindset
• Comfortable aligning work hours with U.S. time zones for close team collaboration
• Experience with Electron applications or AI testing is a plus
