JOB DESCRIPTION

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer for the Joint Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) program based out of Panama City, FL. This position will be 100% remote.  

The qualified candidate will support the Joint & Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) program RDT&E team, providing systems and engineering support in accordance with stakeholder tasking to the RDT&E team.

Job Duties

  • Participate in the migration of on-premises systems to the Gov Azure cloud (IL2 environment).
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based systems in Azure.
  • Automate system administration tasks using Ansible and other software.
  • Implement and maintain secure network configurations.
  • Collaborate with team members in an Agile development environment.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Manage and deploy containerized applications.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the overall security posture of the system.
  • Adhere to security policies and best practices, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE

  • Bachelor’s in computer science and two (2) years or more related experience. Additional years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience with Azure and cloud systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Solid understanding of networking principles.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Demonstrable experience with Ansible automation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Must currently hold a Secret clearance with the ability to acquire and maintain Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Candidate must have a Security+ certification prior to first day. 
  • Demonstrated completion of AZ-104 learning modules or course materials (proof required for access).

Desired Experience

  • Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks

Target salary range $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
