Job Description


We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in security and automation to support large-scale development and deployment operations. This position involves building and customizing CI/CD pipelines, improving observability and performance, and ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards.

Technical Requirements And Knowledge

  • CI/CD & Automation: Advanced experience implementing and customizing pipelines with Jenkins, Git (Bitbucket), Maven, and Gradle, covering backend (Java/Quarkus/Spring), frontend (React/TypeScript), and test workflows
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Strong knowledge of Docker, Podman, Helm, and OpenShift (OKD/OCP) for deployment and scaling of containerized applications
  • Infrastructure as Code: Practical experience with Terraform and Ansible for provisioning and configuration automation
  • Security & Compliance: Proven experience managing HashiCorp Vault for secrets, integrating SAST/DAST tools such as Veracode, Trivy, and Syft, and applying secure coding and deployment practices
  • Monitoring & Observability: Proficient in implementing and maintaining ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana stacks to ensure visibility and system reliability
  • Databases & Messaging: Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka (Confluent), and Solace PubSub+
  • Scripting: Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation and troubleshooting
  • Collaboration & Tools: Experience using JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and MS Teams in Agile or hybrid DevOps setups
  • Performance & Cost Optimization: Skilled at identifying build, test, or deployment inefficiencies and optimizing OpenShift resource allocation

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and adapt CI/CD pipelines following corporate DevOps standards and project-specific needs
  • Automate container build, testing, and deployment processes using Docker, Helm, and OpenShift
  • Ensure secure and compliant DevOps operations by integrating vulnerability scanning and secrets management solutions
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and central DevOps teams to align practices and improve delivery efficiency
  • Maintain centralized monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure reliability and traceability across services
  • Troubleshoot complex build and deployment issues, identifying bottlenecks and implementing sustainable fixes
  • Optimize system resources for cost efficiency and implement automated scaling and recovery strategies
  • Participate in defining and refining DevSecOps standards, providing recommendations for improvement
  • Act as a key liaison between the Digital Product and central DevOps teams, ensuring full alignment on architecture and best practices
  • Support and mentor team members on automation, containerization, and secure delivery processes

  • Work setup: 100% remote. Travel: Occasional travel to Brussels may be required
