Job Title: Android Developer - W2 only - We can provide sponsorship
Duration: Long Term
Location: Salt Lake, City, UT/Westlake, TX/Smithfield, RI/Merrimack, NH - Local prefered
Must Have:
- Android development
- Kotlin or Java based mobile app development needed (not considering Dart / Flutter non-native development)
- Android Environment and OS
- need strong SDK, android studio, native feature and 3rd party library / tooling experience
- jetpack compose is important Testing,
- CI/CD infrastructure Cloud is not needed (plus)
- Backend API development is NOT a requirement (a plus)
your role, you will:
- Help us build omni-channel user experiences and the underlying platforms needed to support our digital presence
- Work on building entire features, taking these from concept to deployment, as part of our autonomous, multi-functional teams.
- Have the opportunity to contribute ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages, and continue to learn
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to more junior team members
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Mobile applications in a fast-paced environment
- 6+ years of professional experience developing publicly available Android apps using Kotlin or Java.
- Proven understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging
- Experience optimizing Android applications for performance and responsiveness
- Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and other relevant tools
- Experience using third-party libraries and APIs in Android development
- Knowledge of mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies used in creating performant and resilient Android Apps
- Advanced Git skills and respective branching strategies
- Understanding of RESTful APIs
- Understanding of accessibility features on Android and building accessible experiences on Android will be a plus
