Java API Developer

Job Title: - Java Developer - W2 only - We can provide sponsorship as well.

Duration: Long Term

Location: Salt Lake City, UT - Hybrid - Local Preferred

Required Skills:

• Build in a highly transactional environment (health care, financial services, banking).

• Scaling and availability of APIs is key experience

• Deep Java knowledge (internally built framework, collection of open source tools pre integrated) drop wizard, all open source tooling, java 11 is current version (open to other versions as long as they are currently using)

• Understands API design and micro services as well as experience documenting APIs. Building/documenting APIs in high volume

Preferred Skills:

• Cloud/AWS-all apis are containerized in aws

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience in Java Web services and API solutions

• Proven hands-on experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), building RESTful services, XML/JSON, and modern Application Servers

• Proficient in Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Core and JavaScript

• Deep understanding of API design, including versioning, isolation and micro-services

• Experience in documenting APIs leveraging an API documentation framework (Swagger)

• Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, Stash and Docker

• Solid understanding of developing highly scalable distributed systems using Open source technologies

• Working knowledge of testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Spring Test

• Knowledge of web application development using JSP, HTML, CSS/SASS, JQuery, Angular and NodeJS

• Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban, SCRUM)

• Knowledge of cloud computing environments and applications (AWS, Azure)

• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database management systems

• Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization globally

• Proven team player and ability to mentor junior team members
