About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our remote team in Brazil. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing our databases to ensure high availability and performance. You’ll collaborate with developers, analysts, and IT teams to support data-driven operations and maintain reliable database systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar).
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning solutions.
- Ensure data security, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and support application teams.
- Automate routine maintenance and monitoring tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management tools.
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of data security and backup practices.
- Fluent in Portuguese; English proficiency is a plus.
