Position: Staff Security Engineer
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 7-month Contract
Pay Rate: $85–95/hour

We’re seeking a Staff Security Engineer (Contractor) to support security initiatives across products and infrastructure. This role offers the chance to influence high-impact systems while collaborating with teams dedicated to building secure, user-focused technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive security risk assessments across systems, applications, and infrastructure
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities, providing actionable solutions and follow-through
- Design automation tools to enhance and scale security processes
- Partner with engineering and product teams to align on security best practices
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with standards such as GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001
- Support audit preparation, testing, and documentation efforts
- Define and track key security performance metrics
Qualifications and Attributes
- 7+ years in cybersecurity, IT governance, or cloud security operations
- Strong knowledge of enterprise and cloud security frameworks
- Hands-on experience with:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Mobile Device / Application Management (MDM / MAM)
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
- Experience supporting compliance programs such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI, GxP, SOC 2, ISO 27001/27002
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Proactive problem solver with a passion for securing systems and protecting users
