🚀 UEFI BIOS Firmware Engineer – Senior Level (Remote | Long-Term Contract)

💼 Contract: 12+ months (possible extension)

🌎 Location: 100% Remote (within the U.S.)

💰 Pay: $75–$80/hr W2 (all-inclusive)

🕓 Shift: Monday–Friday | 8 AM – 5 PM

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced UEFI BIOS Firmware Engineer to contribute to next-generation pre-OS firmware and silicon initialization for high-performance SoCs.

You’ll work closely with senior architects and cross-functional teams on X86 and RISC-V platforms, delivering optimized and reliable BIOS solutions.

What You’ll Do

✅ Develop, debug, and document core firmware for enabling SOC features — PCIe, DDR4/DDR5, power management, and more

✅ Support pre-silicon validation through emulation/simulation

✅ Collaborate with hardware and silicon teams to optimize IP subsystems

✅ Implement custom firmware features for internal and external stakeholders

✅ Participate in architectural discussions, bring-up, and code reviews

What You’ll Bring

🎓 Education: Bachelor’s (required) or Master’s (preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

💡 Experience: 7–10+ years in firmware or BIOS development

💻 Technical Skills:

• Deep hands-on UEFI/BIOS experience (AMI, Insyde, or Phoenix)
• C programming and embedded system debugging
• EDKII framework
• Pre-OS silicon initialization & bring-up
• Understanding of DDR memory, PCIe, power management, and system architecture
• Git/GitHub and firmware lifecycle management

Preferred Experience

• Multi-root PCIe subsystem development
• Firmware validation for pre- and post-silicon SoCs
• JTAG, logic analyzers, or hardware debuggers
• Collaboration with cross-functional silicon and platform teams
