As an Android Developer, you’ll build mission-critical command-and-control interfaces for ground-based robotic swarms. You’ll develop plugins for ATAK (Android Team Awareness Kit)—the tactical situational awareness platform used by defense, emergency, and security operators. You’ll be responsible for building reliable, real-time interfaces that visualize and manage swarm operations, integrating live video, mapping, and data streams in fast-changing environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain Android plugins for ATAK to support command and control of robot swarms.
- Architect and implement real-time, mission-critical interfaces for field operations.
- Work closely with robotics, autonomy, and product teams to integrate backend systems and telemetry data.
- Implement complex UI systems using Jetpack Compose and legacy View components.
- Optimize Android performance for video, mapping, and sensor data visualization.
- Maintain scalable Android build configurations using Gradle.
- Contribute to end-to-end testing, field deployment, and performance validation of mobile systems.
