L4 Firewall Engineer

We’re seeking a seasoned L4 Firewall Engineer to join our growing security team. This is a direct hire opportunity offering full remote flexibility. You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and supporting enterprise-grade firewall solutions across a diverse infrastructure.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in firewall design, deployment, and support
• Proven expertise in Palo Alto, Zscaler, and Checkpoint technologies
• Strong experience with F5 load balancing
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, NAT, and session-based filtering
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications (e.g., PCNSE, CCSE, Zscaler Certified)

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement Layer 4 firewall solutions across cloud and on-prem environments
• Manage and optimize firewall platforms including Palo Alto, Zscaler, and Checkpoint
• Configure and maintain F5 load balancers for high-availability and traffic distribution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure network design and compliance
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues using advanced diagnostic tools
