Jr. 3D Modeling Artist

About the Role:

3D Modeling Artists are responsible for creating high-quality hard surface and soft body 3D models. They work with tools such as Autodesk Maya and Zbrush to design clean, optimized models with excellent topology, ensuring real-world accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proficient in modeling with Autodesk Maya and Zbrush.
• Create clean and accurate low-poly 3D models with real-world scaling, proper vertex snapping, logical naming, grouping, and excellent topology.
• Cleanup and refine raw 3D scans using Zbrush/Mudbox.
• Perform retopology of cleaned 3D scans to optimize models.
• Develop high-poly and mid-poly models and create LODs (Level of Detail) within prescribed poly budgets.
• Follow design references to create 3D models in various styles, ensuring attention to detail and alignment with client requirements.
• Properly layout UVs with uniform texel density to ensure maximum texture detail and visual quality.
• Deliver weekly and monthly reports on progress.
• Collaborate effectively with the designated Design Project Manager.
• Provide inputs to improve workflow and enhance modeling efficiency

Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in 3D modeling and animation principles.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to interpret design references and maintain accuracy.
• Communication: Clear and articulate verbal and written communication.
• Work Ethic: Strong dedication to meeting deadlines, including extended hours if necessary.
• Openness to Feedback: Ability to handle constructive criticism and improve work accordingly.\

Software Skills Required:

• Essential: Autodesk Maya, Zbrush
• Optional: CLO3D, Unity, Unreal
