Location: 100% Remote (prefer candidates local to the NY Tri-state area)

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Financial Systems Application Developer to maintain, support, and enhance their accounting and finance applications. This role will serve as the primary technical resource for implementations, upgrades, and ongoing support of financial systems, particularly 3E and related applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in .NET development (C#, VB.NET), SQL, SSRS, and Power BI and will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining high-performance financial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for technical support related to financial systems (3E and integrated applications).
• Develop and implement reporting tools and dashboards using SQL, SSRS, and Power BI.
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using the .NET framework (VB.NET, C#).
• Create complex SQL stored procedures, views, and database queries based on business needs.
• Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze software requirements.
• Write clean, scalable code and conduct code reviews to maintain high quality.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Test and deploy applications, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a law firm or financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of the .NET framework (C#, VB.NET) and ASP.NET.
• Experience with SQL Server, stored procedures, and Microsoft Analytical Services (MDX).
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with 3E implementations, maintenance, and integrations is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Aderant and other financial applications is a plus.
• Experience developing reports and dashboards using SSRS, Power BI, and ad hoc reporting solutions.
• Understanding of Elite Design Gallery (EDG) development is a plus.
• Strong background in web development using XML/XSLT transformations (XPath experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive attitude in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
