Roles And Responsibilities
- Contribute to set up and improve our infrastructure for builds, releases and CI/CD process for multiple concurrent releases of a set of integrated products.
- Implement CI/CD build principles, write scripts to build pipelines and to automate tasks.
- Manage and improve release process to ensure scalability and efficiency, identify bottlenecks and solutions. Focus on scale and efficiency. Deploy the right builds across environments.
- Implement / integrate automated test solutions
- Validate deliveries by participating in integration tests, ensuring that quality criteria are met and ensuring overall consistency of deliverables
- Document procedures for building and deploying
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives through the definition, dissemination and application of good practices, standards and processes. Identify and propose technology choices, analyze their impact
- Help businesses to develop an overall strategy for deploying code. Contribute to planning and strategy with his/her ideas. Draw off experience in order to influence others
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- Proven experience in the deployment and management of a CI/CD infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure, code and version management tools such as Git, SVN, Apache Subversion.
- Strong knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment tools (e.g. Jenkins).
- Demonstrates expertise in writing scripts to automate tasks with tools such as python, perl
- Experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies
- Preferred Keyskills
- Knowledge and mastery of tools such as Docker, Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes
- Experience with Linux and Windows, good knowledge of LDAP (Active Directory) administration.
- Good knowledge of virtualization (VMWare, VCenter, Hypervisor).
