Senior Azure Cloud Engineer
Abu Dhabi (Relocation Required & Fully Supported)
€170K-€200,000 Euro equilivant base in western Europe + Bonus (10-20%) + amazing relocation & amazing new scale up.
We’re supporting the growth of a strategic, security-led R&D team based in the Middle East (Abu Dhabi), building advanced, secure software systems deeply rooted in applied cryptography.
This team is at the forefront of designing and delivering security-first platforms—and we’re looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to drive the design, build, and operation of the Microsoft Azure infrastructure that underpins this innovation.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for an engineer who thrives on scalable cloud design, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and security-focused architecture.

Main Responsibilities
- Architect, deliver, and maintain secure, high-performance cloud environments on Microsoft Azure.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to define and implement the right mix of Azure services, resources, and design standards.
- Use Terraform to create and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), ensuring environments are consistent, reliable, and easily reproducible.
- Review code contributions and help establish engineering standards and reusable patterns for Azure and other major cloud providers such as AWS and GCP.
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and tuning of Azure-based systems to achieve optimal performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Essential Experience
- A minimum of five years’ experience working as a Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Official Azure certifications such as Developer Associate, DevOps Engineer, or Security Engineer - All are a nice to have / preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in Terraform and managing infrastructure via IaC within Azure.
- Proficiency with Git-based workflows (GitHub or GitLab) for version control and collaboration.
Preferred Experience
- Some familiarity with backend programming languages such as Java or Kotlin.
- Proven track record of designing secure, multi-cloud architectures using Terraform.
- Additional credentials from AWS, GCP, or HashiCorp are a plus.
- Experience automating build and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Software Engineering, Data Science, Telematics, or a related discipline.
Location & Package
Role is based in Abu Dhabi this is an on-site position and relocation is required.
