C++ Software Developer

Venture search is working with a Leading Global Propriety Trading Firm based in the US who are seeking a talented Software Engineer. Our client actively participates in a diverse range of global markets, including futures, equities, commodities, options, fixed income, and cryptocurrencies. The company fosters a collaborative culture that prioritizes teamwork, continuous integration, and test-driven development.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain SDKs and core services that support system-wide OS abstraction, telemetry, latency tracking, performance optimization, and automation frameworks
- Collaborate in an agile development environment, leveraging modern software tools and practices such as continuous integration and regression testing
- Write high-performance, reliable code in a Linux-based environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11/14/17), preferably in a Linux environment
- Experience with Python and/or JavaScript is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field from a 4-year accredited institution
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
- Hands-on experience with multithreading, real-time systems, and socket programming
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
- Self-driven with a strong interest in working within a trading or high-performance computing environment
- 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Background in finance or trading is a strong plus
- Experience in ultra-low latency programming is highly valued
