Overview

We are hiring for a senior AWS Java Full Stack Developer for one of our key clients. This is an onsite, C2C role based in McLean, VA, requiring local candidates only. The position focuses on designing and building scalable, cloud-native applications with heavy data processing using Java, microservices, AWS, and NoSQL technologies. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong design skills, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java 8+/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs

Architect and implement microservices-based solutions using Spring Boot

Build, deploy, and manage applications on AWS cloud services

Develop and integrate applications with NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB

Implement GraphQL APIs for efficient data access and integration

Use JPA/Hibernate for ORM and database interactions

Containerize and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes

Apply software design patterns and best practices to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions

Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

Required Qualifications

12+ years of hands-on experience in Java-based application development

Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture

Proven experience working with AWS services in production environments

Mandatory experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB

Experience with ORM frameworks such as JPA / Hibernate

Working knowledge of GraphQL

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
