Job Description
SEO & Content Visibility Specialist (aka: The Algorithm Whisperer)
Location:
Remote | Full-Time | High-Autonomy Role
About the Role
You don’t just understand SEO—you see the matrix.
We’re looking for a data-driven, results-obsessed SEO & Content Visibility Specialist who can take the content we’re already creating—podcasts, videos, blogs, social posts—and make it unmissable. This isn’t about keyword stuffing or outdated backlink strategies. It’s about helping thought leaders get discovered, driving organic growth, and turning content into traffic engines.
You’ll work across multiple client brands and help shape Podify’s digital footprint, too. If you're a strategic thinker who gets excited about rankings, rich snippets, metadata, and making content go further—you might be the one.
SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute SEO strategies for Podify and our clients across web, YouTube, and podcast platforms.
- Perform keyword research that actually informs content strategy, not just checks a box.
- Optimize web pages, blog posts, show notes, video descriptions, and podcast metadata for maximum visibility.
- Stay ahead of algorithm changes like your career depends on it (because it does).
Content Optimization & Traffic Growth
- Identify high-opportunity content in our archives and give it new life with SEO updates.
- Turn raw podcast transcripts into blog posts that rank.
- Optimize titles, headlines, thumbnails, and CTAs across platforms for search and clicks.
- Create content briefs to guide writers and editors to produce rank-worthy content.
Technical SEO & Analytics
- Run site audits and make recommendations that improve performance (Core Web Vitals, crawling, indexing, etc.).
- Monitor rankings, traffic, and click-through rates across Google, YouTube, and podcast search engines.
- Use tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, and TubeBuddy like a pro.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work directly with creative, design, video, and dev teams to implement your strategies.
- Translate complex SEO insights into actionable ideas for non-technical teammates.
- Help define and refine our internal SEO processes and best practices.
3+ Years of SEO Experience – Preferably across content-heavy brands, media companies, or agencies.
SERP-Savvy – You can reverse-engineer the top-ranking page and know how to beat it.
Technical SEO Knowledge – You don’t have to be a developer, but you can talk to one.
Strong Copy Instincts – You know when a headline needs to be optimized, and when it just needs to be better.
Google Whisperer – You understand how to play the long game in organic search, but you move fast.
Platform Flexibility – YouTube SEO, Apple/Spotify podcast visibility, blog optimization, Google Knowledge Panels—you're not afraid to cross disciplines.
Tools on Tools on Tools – You’re fluent in the standard SEO stack and always exploring new ways to gain an edge.
Podcast SEO – You’re fluent in podcast SEO and always exploring new ways to gain an edge.
Work with Industry Leaders – We produce and grow podcasts for some of the top creators, authors, and thought leaders.
Growth-Focused Environment – We move quickly, think strategically, and celebrate execution.
Creative Meets Analytical – You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, content, and optimization.
Remote & Flexible – Work from anywhere, but always show up with results.
Competitive Compensation – Base salary + performance-based bonuses.
