Job Description
Responsibilities
We know that great talent deserves great conditions, so here's what you can expect when joining us:
- Act as the analytical point of contact for resolving payment conversion issues and anomalies in card transactions (Visa, Mastercard);
- Drive and support card flow optimization initiatives — including testing and rollout of improvements such as 3DS routing strategies (e.g., frictionless vs challenge), low-value payment flows, fallbacks, retry logic, and BIN-specific configurations;
- Investigate unusual decline codes, authorization errors, and behavioral patterns that impact conversion or user experience;
- Liaise with card payment processors, acquiring banks, and internal teams to diagnose root causes and coordinate fixes;
- Maintain structured documentation of known issues, processor-specific behaviors, and solutions applied;
- Support cross-functional teams (analytics, tech, product, operations) in understanding and prioritizing issues;
- Monitor recurring incidents and contribute to the continuous improvement of payment routing and error-handling logic;
- Participate in regular syncs with processors and banks to follow up on previously raised issues and track progress;
- Contribute to internal knowledge base and help systematize payment incident response processes.
- 4+ years of experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or banking (preferably in operational or analytical roles);
- Deep understanding of card payments: authorization flows, decline codes, routing logic, chargebacks, etc.;
- Hands-on experience in communicating with PSPs, acquiring banks, or international card schemes is essential;
- Excellent cross-team communication and coordination skills;
- Ability to structure problems and drive them to resolution in a fast-paced environment;
- Familiarity with internal ticketing or incident management systems (e.g., JIRA);
- Basic analytical mindset — ability to interpret data and collaborate with analysts effectively (knowledge of SQL is a plus);
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.
