Job Description
We are looking for a developer with experience in retail technology solutions to support point-of-sale (POS) systems
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop retail technology solutions to support point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management systems, back end management systems and related in-store technology such as peripherals, phone systems, mobile devices, working closely with external vendors and support partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technology needs and opportunities within the retail environment.
- Implement and maintain hardware and software systems to ensure seamless store operations, scalability, and long-term stability and support processes.
- Implement and Enhance solutions that improve Retail Engineering and Operational efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of retail innovation.
- Document, Train and assist Retail Support staff on the use of Retail Technologies and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to retail systems and provide ongoing support to store staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in retail engineering or a similar role engineering solutions for a technology landscape widely distributed across the globe.
- 5+ years experience administering, imaging, and patching Microsoft Windows systems in a distributed environment. Proficiency with Intune. (Must) or similar tools
- Experience with iOS and Android device management using UEM/MDM tools like Intune, and Workspace One.
- Proficiency in Powershell and use of APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Utilize both quantifiable and qualitative information to draw conclusions quickly.
- Program Management Expertise: Must have demonstrated experience leading technology deployment to a successful conclusion. Must have clear understanding of the project and business process management methodologies and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to Work in a Global, Matrixed Environment: The role and resources are broadly distributed. Must be effective at managing remote resources in a dual report structure. An understanding and appreciation of the challenges of working globally and a respect and understanding of the diversity of our people and cultures
