Job Title: Project Business Analyst
Location: Osaka, Japan

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Business Analyst to work closely with clients and cross-functional teams, driving business requirements gathering, analysis, and solution design for IT systems within the manufacturing domain. The ideal candidate will be a native Japanese speaker with significant experience in business analysis, IT solutions, and project management, particularly within the manufacturing after-market domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Analysis: Independently work with clients’ cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and design solutions based on business requirements.
- Process Review: Assess business processes, create workflows, and draft functional designs during the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Solution Design: Provide guidance to development teams during pre-sales and SDLC processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Client Collaboration: Engage with business users to prepare user acceptance test cases and support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase.
- Team Guidance: Offer input and direction to the delivery team throughout the software development process, including functionality, system integration, UI/UX, best practices, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Project Leadership: Work onsite to gather requirements, perform analysis, and develop functional designs, ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Industry Expertise: Leverage domain knowledge to understand existing processes, legacy system architecture, and propose efficient solutions.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive project documentation, including workflows, functional specifications, and test cases.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with both Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience:
- 10 to 12 years of overall work experience.
- 8+ years in the IT Solutions/Services industry, specifically in business analysis.
Domain Expertise:
- Experience in the manufacturing after-market domain, particularly with warranty management, after-sales services, and reverse logistics.
Technical Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in enterprise custom applications for manufacturing industries (e.g., automotive, construction, heavy equipment).
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.
Education:
- MBA in operations, logistics, or supply chain (preferred but not mandatory).
Other Requirements:
- Native Japanese speaker.
- Willingness to work from Osaka office for the first 4 to 5 months (3 days per week), with potential flexibility afterward.
- Early joiners are preferred.
Work Authorization: Native Japanese citizenship is required.

Assessment:
- Interviews will be conducted in Japanese to evaluate technical knowledge and language proficiency.

- The role requires working from the Osaka office initially for 4 to 5 months.
