EXPERT SUBSEA PRODUCTION SYSTEM ENGINEER - FREELANCER
Project: FULL REMOTE/Engineering support for subsea projects of our Client:
Work Schedule: 8 hr/day – 5 days /week (Full REMOTE)
Duration of the contact: 6+6 months with possible extension
Key activities:
- Understanding of subsea trees, manifolds, umbilicals, flowlines, risers (SURF), and production control systems.
- Executing System design to proposals and projects.
- Defining system layout from concept definition phase to FEED, detail engineering and execution phases of a subsea project.
- Defining and preparing functional specifications for subsea system building blocks such as Trees, Controls, Wellhead connections, Manifolds, and Flowlines.
- Issue FEED documentation for Subsea equipment, including Hydraulic Schematics, Technical Datasheets, Inspection Datasheets and Initial Required Documents List required by Vendors.
- Will be involved in issuing Complete Subsea Project Scope of Work including scope for SPS Equipment, ROV interventions Systems and Installation.
- Providing system design input to large subsea project proposals and equipment contracts.
- Attending FAT, EFAT and SIT at SPS Contractors Premises
- Reporting of progress, technical and interface matters in project meetings and progress reports of assigned tasks and CTRs.
- Attending SRT at Fabrication yards and final inspections prior to Equipment Sea fastening.
- Issue Technical & supply Specifications and Technical Datasheets for IWOCS and be involved deeply in the interface between the rig and the IWOCS contractor during execution.
- Attend Installation Activities for XT, HIPPS, manifolds, etc. on Rigs and Installation vessels.
Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English
Education:
- Bachelor Degree (Minimum) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Master Degree (Optional, but beneficial) in Subsea Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or a related field.
Software & Tools:
- FEA & CFD Software (ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL) for structural and thermal analysis.
- Pipeline & Flow Assurance Tools (OLGA, PIPESIM, LedaFlow) for multiphase flow simulation.
- 3D Modeling & CAD Software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) for design.
- Industry Standards & Codes (API 17, ISO 13628, DNV, ASME) compliance.
Work Experience:
- Typically 3+ years in offshore or subsea engineering.
- Experience with EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) projects in offshore developments.
