As part of our continued growth and digital transformation, we are looking for an experienced teamlead in R&D to lead and support a comprehensive product development team within a 200-member, cross-functional organization. You will be a member of a strong leadership team developing and improving a highly successful product considering agile practices in a Cloud-oriented development environment.

Your Role

You as a teamlead play a critical role in guiding your team on developing and improving the existing products using a variety of state-of-the-art technologies. You will work closely within the development department to foster a culture of agility and continuous improvement. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on development.

Your Responsibilities

• Leadership
• Lead, support, and coach the team by being an inspiring role model.
• Foster collaboration within the team and across the agile organization.
• Align the team goals with the overall strategy.
• Development
• Guide and support your team along your deep understanding of software architectures and implementation knowledge: for example, Java, Python, Cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and operation specialists to find pragmatic, sustainable and future-proof solutions.
• Performance and Continuous Improvement
• Joy in developing and improving yourself and your team along future-oriented growth paths.
  

Experience

• Proven track record of software development abilities and first experiences of leading small development teams.
• Experience in a Cloud-oriented environment is a plus.
• Experience with Agile frameworks in a distributed and remote team setting is a plus.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in software engineering
  
  

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of Java.
• Strong understanding of Cloud-native application architectures is a plus.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain software products considering user experience and business value.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to assess team performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowing German is a plus.
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
