Data Engineer & Production Support Analyst (relocation to Belgium)
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer & Production Support Analyst willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.
As a Data Engineer & Production Support Analyst, you will work closely with the Data Architect & Operationalisation Technical Lead to support the final stages of delivery of the Privilege Technical Account (PTA) Inventory into Production Infrastructure. This involves working with custom PowerShell scripts and stored PL/SQL procedures to transform and load data from source system files or APIs into a SQL Server Database with reporting via Microsoft Power BI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the PTA Production Infrastructure: Assist in building, testing, and documenting the PTA solution and ensure successful deployment to production.
- Formal Testing & Documentation: Work with internal customers to ensure the solution passes all formal testing stages and obtain necessary sign-offs using Euroclear standard templates (e.g., High-Level Technical Design, Detailed Functional Design).
- Production Support: Provide Level 2/3 support during the warranty period, managing bug fixes and change requests, while handing over to the operational team.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with colleagues from various domains and external suppliers to design secure, optimal solutions that meet internal customer needs.
- Security Risk Management: Identify security risks during analysis and design, addressing them appropriately and escalating out-of-scope risks to senior stakeholders.
- Process & Control Consideration: Understand the impact of solutions on processes and controls, recommending and implementing agreed enhancements.
- Knowledge Transfer: Provide training, documentation, and ongoing knowledge transfer to the IDAM Operations team, ensuring a smooth transition to production support.
Skills & Experience:
- Data Engineering & Architecture: 1-2 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Modelling, and Data Engineering, with familiarity in tools such as ERWIN.
- PowerShell & Automation: 2-3 years of experience with PowerShell in a Windows environment for task automation.
- SQL & Database Management: 2-3 years of experience with SQL Server, including stored procedures for ETL tasks.
- Full Product Lifecycle: 3-5+ years of experience in product lifecycle management, including testing, warranty support, and operational handover.
- Operational Support: 1+ years of experience in Level 2/Level 3 Production Support using tools like ServiceNow for incident management.
- Data Management Tools: Hands-on experience with data dictionary, lineage, and management tools (e.g., Collibra).
- ETL & Reporting Tools: Knowledge of ETL tools and Microsoft Power BI for reporting and dashboards.
- Technical Platforms: Knowledge of Windows, Unix, Networks, and scheduling tools for automating tasks.
- Security & Access Management: Familiarity with security mechanisms, access control principles, and IAM Privileged Access Management processes.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
