A remote-first startup is seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer to develop core gameplay systems and optimize multiplayer performance for the ultimate open-world multiplayer sandbox. The ideal candidate has expertise in Unreal Engine 5 and C++ and will join an international team shaping the future of multiplayer gaming.

Work mode: 100% remote.

Responsibilities
- Develop core gameplay systems, including character movement, physics, AI, and player interactions.
- Collaborate with Lua scripters to create modular, reusable code, enabling creators to easily build and modify game systems.
- Optimize multiplayer systems for performance and scalability across large player bases.
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility, preparing for deployment on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Work with the UI/UX team to provide intuitive interfaces for game creators.
- Stay current with Unreal Engine 5 advancements to enhance UGC creation tools.
- 4+ years of experience in game development focused on gameplay and multiplayer systems.
- Expertise in Unreal Engine 5, Blueprints, and C++.
- Understanding of multiplayer networking and client/server architecture.
- Ability to write clean, modular, and scalable code.
- Familiarity with console development and optimization for current-generation consoles.
- Experience with creator-driven tools and UGC platforms.
- Experience working with Lua.
- Familiarity with role-playing mechanics.
