Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to help build our Human Resources team, and work with our third-party HR consultancy. In this role, you will be responsible for taking ownership of day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and benefits administration. You will work closely with managers and employees to foster a positive and productive work environment while ensuring compliance with UK employment laws and regulations. 

 

What you'll be doing 

  • Assist managers with the end-to-end recruitment processes, from writing job descriptions and posting vacancies to conducting interviews and onboarding new hires. 
  • Support managers in performance reviews, ensuring employees are on track to meet their objectives, and address any concerns. 
  • Ensure that HR policies are compliant with UK employment laws, and update company policies as necessary, working with our third-party consultancy. 
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including pensions and healthcare, and assist with payroll management and salary reviews. 
  • Work with managers to identify training needs and create professional development plans. 
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR systems (HRIS), and ensure confidentiality in handling employee data. 
  • Promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the organization. 
  • Participate in or lead HR-related projects such as restructuring, change management, or policy development. 

 

What we need from you 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist role. 
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. 
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • CIPD Level 5 or higher is highly desirable.
