One of our clients is looking for an experienced AWS Security Engineer for a USA (100% Remote) Contract Opportunity.
Note: Looking for candidates with independent work authorization only (No Sponsorship / No H1-B).
- 9+ years of overall IT experience with strong focus on Cloud Security / AWS Security Engineering
- Hands-on experience with AWS Security Services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF, Shield, Inspector, Macie, CloudTrail)
- Strong expertise in AWS IAM (roles, policies, permissions, federation, least privilege access)
- Experience securing AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, EKS/ECS
- Knowledge of network security concepts (VPC, Security Groups, NACLs, VPN, Firewalls)
- Experience with cloud compliance & governance (CIS, NIST, SOC2, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001)
- Hands-on with threat detection, vulnerability management & incident response in AWS environments
- Experience with SIEM, logging & monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk, Sentinel, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of encryption & key management (KMS, TLS, secrets management)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for secure cloud deployments
- Hands-on scripting/automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience implementing DevSecOps / CI-CD security in cloud environments
- Understanding of container & Kubernetes security (EKS, Docker)
- Ability to perform security risk assessments, audits, and remediation
- Strong experience in identity & access management, zero-trust, and security best practices
- Good understanding of multi-account AWS architecture and landing zone security
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
