Freelance Project Manager - Network Modernisation - Full Remote
Starting 22 July till end of the year
Must-Have requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Project/Program management
- Network infrastructure background
- Experience working with Global remote teams
- Quick learner with a fervent passion for technology and innovation
- Strong leadership skills with a bias towards action and a track record of driving results
- Exceptional executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Jira, Monday.com and Google workspace
- PMP, Prince, Scrum certification
- Excellent English - good to have: Italian or any other European language
The mission
My client needs a Senior Project Manager with network infrastructure background to manage network refresh and modernisation in their plant.
The key responsibilities
- Develop & Maintain Project Plan (Scope, Schedule, Finance, Resources, Communication)
- Manage/Coordinate project activities , tasks and dependencies
- Facilitate and drive issues resolution and where necessary, escalate issues to the SF Leader, the Programme Manager or the Technical Lead
- Manage and provide leadership to the project team
- Manage project scope and risks
- Secure the necessary resources to complete the project
- Consult, report, advise Programme Team and site management the overall project status
- Participate in reviews, provide input and direction that will ensure the success of the project
- Prepare and provide appropriate documentation as it relates to the project, and obtain sign off for all project deliverables.
- Work in conjunction with the Technical Lead to design the Solution Proposal
- Procurement - Get quotes, participate in RFQ, manage PO and delivery
- Financial - Initial Budget definition and track it along the project against the baseline
- Communication - Manage all project’s communication
- Manage site stakeholders requests/queries Schedule and lead periodical SteerCo meetings with GBU and site stakeholders
- Act as the SPOC between technical team and the site stakeholders
- Coordinate all technical activities to deliver the scope of the project with the respective local and/or global teams and 3rd parties companies
- Vendor management - engage, coordinate and manage needed external vendors to deliver the scope of the project
- Align all the Requirements with LAN and Functional Managers to organise and define Timeline for the needed activities
- Ensure all documentation is correctly stored in the Projects/Programme shared folders
- Create and maintain all required project documentation
- Support the Programme Team to deliver Programme deliverables on time and quality
- Agree the allocation of resources with their functional Manager for the capacity plan approval and quarterly updates
