An exciting opportunity for a hands-on Salesforce Application Manager to join an innovative software company and a top-notch team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hands-on manager (up to 50% of the time)
- Manage two Salesforce Developers and one User Administrator
- Manage the Salesforce platform, overseeing enhancements, integrations, and updates
- As a player/coach, you will actively participate in all phases of the software development life-cycle, from prioritizing project/feature backlogs to post-release support
- Gathering requirements from across the business, maturing business practices, managing projects, designing solutions, driving user acceptance testing, overseeing project implementations, and participating in Salesforce roadmap discussions
- Ensure the optimal utilization of Salesforce by staying abreast of industry trends, sharing best practices, and identifying new technologies
- Increase platform efficiency by 20% within the first year; implement at least two new best practices based on industry trends
- Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team focused on quality work and exceptional customer service
- Achieve a 15% improvement in team performance metrics within the first six months; conduct regular training sessions leading to a 10% increase in team competency
- Optimize existing business practices and workflows, identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities
- Document and implement process improvements, resulting in a 15% reduction in project cycle time; conduct quarterly business process reviews with key stakeholders
- Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with project stakeholders by providing vision, expertise, and guidance
- Achieve a 90% satisfaction rate in stakeholder surveys; provide advisory input on at least three significant projects leading to successful outcomes
- Develop detailed business and requirements-gathering activities, documenting comprehensive solution designs
- Decrease requirement ambiguity by 20% through improved documentation; achieve a 95% accuracy rate in translating requirements into functional specifications
- Lead the QA testing of projects, ensuring high-quality solutions and efficient defect management
- Implement a standardized testing process that will reduce post-release defects by 15% and maintain a 98% accuracy rate in test cases
- Provide Salesforce knowledge and expertise to support cross-functional users and teams, including onboarding and advanced user training
- Increase user adoption by 25% through effective training programs; conduct quarterly training sessions leading to a 10% improvement in user proficiency
- Develop and maintain metrics for each project and overall QA processes to make data-driven decisions
- Implement at least three new performance metrics that will improve project tracking and achieve a 98% accuracy rate in metrics reporting
- Support our strategic initiatives through proactive involvement and other assigned responsibilities
- Successfully lead or contribute to at least two strategic initiatives within the first year; demonstrate alignment of team goals with broader business objectives
- Monitor and manage team goals and performance, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and strategies
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews with team members, achieving a 90% satisfaction rate; align team goals with at least two key business strategies
This opportunity is a direct-hire position located in the Cumberland / Galleria area. You can telecommute 3 to 4 days a week. We have excellent work-life balance and culture. REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 1+ years of people management experience (hire, fire, etc.)
- 4+ years of professional experience in Salesforce administration
- Business Analysis experience, including capturing requirements, translating requirements into functional specifications, and managing traceability matrices
- Ability and desire to be hands-on up to 50% of the time
- Testing experience (integration, regression, and acceptance)
- Experience in developing test cases, test plans, system testing, integration/stub testing, regression testing, performance testing, and release testing
- Excellent communication skills and consultative personality
