Job Description
Our client is a collaborative, design-focused architecture firm known for creating thoughtful, community-centered spaces across Florida. Their work is driven by curiosity, creativity, and a desire to elevate the built environment in ways that positively impact how people live, work, and connect.
They believe talented people do their best work when they are supported, trusted, and given the space to lead.
Why This Role Is Different
- This is not a corporate, red-tape, committee-design environment. You will:
- Lead the Design Narrative: You won't just draw; you will develop innovative concepts that adhere to a "design thesis," articulating the conceptual and aesthetic essence of the project.
- Bridge Art & Engineering: You will integrate artistic vision with technical knowledge, drawing on structural, MEP, and civil principles to create designs that are both beautiful and constructible.
- Influence Strategy: Work directly with Principals to craft clear, compelling architectural narratives and shape early pursuit strategies.
- Mentor: Inspire the next generation by fostering an environment of creativity, technical precision, and artistic expression.
- If you’re a Senior Design Leader who wants to step into true creative ownership, this is that opportunity.
What You’ll Do
- Design Leadership: Lead design efforts from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality graphic standards and ensuring the "design thesis" remains intact through technical development.
- Technical & Creative Synthesis: Conduct regular audits of drawings to ensure they align with the original artistic vision while meeting technical specifications and constructability requirements.
- Collaboration: Organize and lead design charrettes, engaging both technical experts and creative minds to refine solutions.
- Client Storytelling: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, presenting tailored design recommendations that respect budget and site limitations while maintaining the integrity of the vision.
- Mentorship: Commit to the development of interns and junior staff, focusing on their technical skills, professional growth, and artistic development.
