🧑‍🍳The role

We're looking for a Social Media Strategist to be the strategic brain behind how we transform brands' social presence.


You'll design content strategies that capture attention, match clients with creators who speak their audience's language, and guide content execution so momentum builds week after week.


This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who thrives working with people, thinks in systems not just tactics, and can move fluidly between building strategies, managing client-creator relationships, and optimising performance. You'll be the connective tissue between brand, creator, and results.


💭 What you'll do

  • Build organic social media content strategies for clients: positioning, content pillars, content series, hooks, scripts, frameworks, and testing plans.
  • Audit client accounts and translate brand identity into social-native content strategies
  • Source and match creators from CoCo's talent pool to client strategies and brand needs
  • Run creator matchmaking calls and onboard creators with clear expectations and strategic context
  • Lead regular client and creator check-ins to review content, spot patterns, and adjust strategy
  • Track performance metrics and translate them into actionable insights for clients and creators
  • Evolve strategies as momentum builds: new series, additional creators, cross-platform expansion
  • Generate and present strategy decks that articulate clear creative direction
  • Build frameworks and learnings that compound across client engagements


🌟 What you'll need

  • 3-5 years in social media marketing, strategy, or creator partnerships (agency, brand-side, or freelance)
  • Deep fluency in TikTok and Instagram: you understand platform behaviour and what makes organic content capture attention and drive engagement
  • Experience in organic short-form video strategy: content series, storytelling, pairing brand insights with cultural moments
  • Experience creating social media content or working directly with content creators
  • Experience generating and presenting strategy decks to clients
  • Self-directed and organised: you'll own your workload, manage timelines, and proactively problem-solve.
  • Confident working with people: you'll be leading client communication (email, WhatsApp, meetings) and briefing/guiding creators.
  • Startup mindset and systems thinking: As an early-stage company, we need someone who can identify gaps, spot opportunities for improvement in our processes and systems, and actively contribute recommendations to evolve how we work.
