Mandatory Requirements:

• Must be local to Texas (ability to work onsite in Texas required; relocation candidates considered only if they confirm ability to relocate).
• W2 employment only – No C2C
• 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Department of Health and Human Services (HHS/HHSC) experience is a must (from any state client; Texas preferred) or at least experience with any department in the State of Texas (strong preference for healthcare client experience).

Role Overview: HHSC has issued an updated backfill request for a Lead MDM Admin/Developer. This role is part of the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) Group in support of the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) project. The successful candidate will lead the development, architecture, and implementation of HHSC's master data management solution to improve client data across multiple healthcare systems and enable unified reporting across client domain data.

This is an architect-level position that will perform both strategic and technical oversight in guiding the implementation of HHSC's MDM solution. Candidates with experience supporting Medicaid and Government Medical will have ideal domain-specific experience, while those with Hospital System experience will still be considered as preferred.

As this is a backfill position, we are the only firm presenting candidates, and submissions will be reviewed directly by the hiring manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain MDM application layers, including ETL processes, metadata loads, and enhancements.
• Model and integrate data, working closely with EIM architects and client SMEs to align MDM databases with current and future system processes.
• Lead project execution, including sprint planning, task coordination, and monitoring MDM deployment across the lifecycle.

Minimum Candidate Characteristics / Required Skills:

• 8+ years leading enterprise data architecture and MDM solutions, including Informatica PowerCenter, ETL development, SQL, and database technologies.
• Extensive experience managing MDM and Data Governance deliverables, creating roadmaps, frameworks, data models, and leading cross-functional discussions with stakeholders.
• Proven leadership experience in complex large-scale data projects.
• Experience with HHSC’s TIERS system.
• Healthcare industry experience (in order of priority):
