Key Responsibilities
Work in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum engineering environment and deliver incremental product software with high quality
Assist in design, development and implement of cloud technologies
Establish service uptime, and build the necessary telemetry and alerting platforms to enforce them
Create, maintain and evolve concepts in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for existing and new services
Help in deployment of Cloud solutions
Write clean, stable and safe code
Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve automation of workflows, infrastructure, code testing and deployment
Identify systems that can benefit from automation, monitoring and infrastructure-as-code and develop and scale products and services accordingly
Create tools to empower developers to manage production infrastructure

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer (IC2) to join our growing development team. In this role, you will work closely with software engineers to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on the AWS platform. You’ll apply your technical expertise to ensure our mission-critical systems are secure, reliable, and scalable, supporting a fast-growing product used by school districts across the country.


Responsibilities:

  • Work in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum engineering environment and deliver incremental product software with high quality.
  • Assist in design, development and implement of cloud technologies
  • Establish service uptime, and build the necessary telemetry and alerting platforms to enforce them
  • Create, maintain and evolve concepts in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for existing and new services.

This role is 100% remote eligible, with quarterly strategy meetings that are in-person.

Requirements


Requested Education and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in DevOps or Systems Engineer
  • Experience/knowledge of JIRA and Scrum methodology a plus
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (SSL, Ports, DNS, Firewall, Routing)
  • Experience with cloud technologies and pipelines
  • Exposure to cloud services and Git
  • Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks
  • Knowledge of networking concepts.
  • AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin, Developer Associate preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.


It would be great if you have or are pursuing the following:

  • Amazon AWS certification


We prefer that you have experience with:

  • Google Suite
  • MS Office Suite
  • JIRA and Confluence
  • AWS
  • GIT


This role is 100% remote eligible, with quarterly strategy meetings that are in-person.
