The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience with C/C++ programming, with a strong background in designing and developing software for real-time or non-real-time systems. A comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience in safety-critical software development are essential. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields is required, with additional preferred qualifications including 7 or more years of relevant experience, active security clearance, and familiarity with aerospace standards. Experience with real-time operating systems, fault tolerance, signal processing, and agile methodologies will be advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, technical leadership, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for complex aerospace systems. Your role includes coding, integrating, and testing software components to ensure full system functionality. You will develop and execute verification plans, test procedures, and environments, documenting results to meet project specifications. Providing technical leadership and mentorship to team members is a key aspect of the role, along with supporting process improvements, tools, and metrics. As a subject matter expert, you will address system-specific issues, ensure compliance with industry standards, and track software conformance.
