Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8–10 years of experience in elevator applications and R&D environments
- Strong experience leading medium to large-scale engineering projects with minimal guidance
- Experience working across multiple teams in a fast-paced R&D or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Experience creating 3D models, assemblies, and complex dimensioned drawings
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, stamping, and machining
- Experience performing DFMEAs, FEAs, and other design validation tools and principles
- Experience managing material masters within CAD and ERP systems (Visual ERP a plus)
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong work ethic with effective time management and organizational skills
- Elevator industry experience strongly preferred

A typical day may include:
- Developing, testing, and certifying modernization and new equipment elevator systems
- Leading and driving engineering projects from concept through production readiness
- Creating 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings
- Applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Lean principles to system designs
- Performing design analysis, experiments, DFMEAs, and FEAs to validate performance and quality
- Collaborating with manufacturing, supply chain, sales, technical support, product management, and program management teams
- Supporting troubleshooting efforts and system evaluations when needed
- Contributing ideas for new products and improvements to existing products
- Assisting in the development of calculation methods to support system integration
- Participating in testing activities within shop and test tower environments
- Occasional visits to job sites as needed
