Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, manage, and optimize network performance, availability, and security across voice, video, and data communications systems.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware and software, including Layer 2/3 switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, crypto/encryption devices, and related infrastructure.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with DoD and organizational regulations.
- Patch, upgrade, and maintain firmware, components, and configurations for network devices and supporting systems.
- Analyze, administer, and support global network operations, ensuring reliability and continuity of service.
- Participate in, and occasionally lead, major network installations, upgrades, and implementation of network standards and procedures.
- Develop and execute network testing strategies, documenting results and recommending improvements.
- Evaluate and integrate hardware, software, and peripheral equipment to enhance network capabilities.
- Interface with vendors to resolve outages, performance issues, and equipment failures.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and training to end users.
- Deliver on-call or call-back support and hands-on touch labor as required for operational needs.

Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have an active secret clearance.
- Must have an AA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or two (2+) years of relevant experience working in an IT enterprise network engineering field.
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
- Familiar with common tools such as SQL Server Configuration Manager, Azure Data Studio, SQL Server Agent, Database Tuning Advisor, CISCO or Juniper network equipment, etc.
- Experience in network segmentation, traffic management, and secure network architecture design.
- In-depth knowledge of network tools, monitoring platforms, and documentation best practices.
- Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
- Computing Environment certification, such as CCNP, CCNA, or similar technology, within 6 months of hire.
