The Role
The Talent Acquisition Manager will lead and execute the end-to-end hiring strategy for experienced Sales, Account Management, and Delivery professionals within the agency staffing industry. This role is critical to ensuring MarkJames Search attracts, hires, and retains high-performing recruiters and sales talent across the USA and Europe.
You will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, owning workforce planning, employer branding, and direct sourcing initiatives, while also being hands-on in candidate engagement and selection.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning
- Develop and execute a scalable talent acquisition strategy aligned to MarkJames Searchβs growth plans in the USA and Europe.
- Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs across sales, account management, and recruitment delivery teams.
- Advise on market conditions, compensation benchmarks, and competitor intelligence within the staffing industry.
End-to-End Recruitment
- Own full-cycle recruitment for experienced agency professionals, from role briefing through to offer and onboarding.
- Proactively source passive candidates using LinkedIn, industry networks, referrals, and direct outreach.
- Conduct in-depth interviews assessing sales capability, recruitment delivery performance, and cultural fit.
- Manage offer processes, negotiations, and closing of senior and revenue-generating hires.
Employer Branding & Market Positioning
- Strengthen MarkJames Searchβs employer brand within the agency staffing market in the USA and Europe.
- Create compelling job messaging that attracts high-calibre, experienced recruitment professionals.
- Represent the business professionally in confidential approaches and market conversations.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to Directors and Hiring Managers across regions.
- Challenge hiring assumptions where needed and ensure consistent hiring standards globally.
- Provide regular reporting on hiring activity, time-to-hire, and pipeline health.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Implement best-in-class recruitment processes, tools, and assessment methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and hiring practices across jurisdictions.
- Continuously improve candidate experience and internal hiring efficiency.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Manager / Internal Recruiter within a recruitment agency environment.
- Proven experience of scaling a staffing agency through high-level talent acquisition.
- Demonstrable track record of hiring experienced Sales Directors, Business Development Managers, Account Managers, and Delivery Consultants.
- Strong knowledge of the UK/European and/or US recruitment agency markets.
- Expertise in direct sourcing and headhunting of passive candidates and talent pool management.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to assess sales performance and revenue potential.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, growth-focused environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-country or international recruitment teams.
- Familiarity with ATS and CRM systems used in staffing agencies.
- Background of hiring contractor/contingent worker recruitment professionals.
