Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Remote(Only US Based)
Job Type: Fulltime/W2 Contract
Role Overview
Client is seeking a highly experienced QA Automation Engineer to support a long-term, business-critical initiative. This role will focus on establishing and executing robust Quality Engineering (QE) practices across multiple workstreams, with a strong emphasis on automation, CI/CD integration, performance testing, and multi-platform validation (web, API, database, and mobile).
Key Responsibilities
- Follow established QA processes and drive automation-first testing strategies across all workstreams to improve testing efficiency and quality.
- Own the overall test strategy, including test planning, design, execution, and reporting.
- Execute and certify:
- Front-end applications
- APIs and backend services
- Databases
- Mobile applications (Android and iOS)
- Design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
- Develop and configure CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing in multi-cloud environments.
- Perform performance and load testing using JMeter and analyze system behavior under stress.
- Actively participate in defect triage meetings, ensuring clear root cause analysis and resolution tracking.
- Utilize JIRA and other defect tracking tools to manage test execution and defect lifecycle.
- Debug complex issues across application layers with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by introducing new QA practices, tools, and testing methodologies.
- Collaborate effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments to meet evolving project needs.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong experience in Java-based automation and database validation.
- Proven expertise in end-to-end, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Hands-on experience leading or influencing QA best practices within delivery teams.
