Lead QA Engineer
This is a remote role but you are welcome to join us in the Munich office
For this role you will work as the Lead Engineer for Bragi's manual testing domain
Tasks
- Be the technical domain owner for firmware and system software validation, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and best practices across all QA activities
- Define and maintain the QA Domain Roadmap in alignment with the Head of QA
- Promote and ensure that common methodologies, processes, documentation standards and QA tools are applied across all teams
- Mentor QA engineers and Embedded tech leads in test strategy, firmware validation, and integration testing
- Develop test concepts for external partners, reporting format to Bragi
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align QA practices with product and architecture roadmaps
- Provide technical guidance on complex validation topics including firmware-app integration, audio validation, and embedded system testing
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews by advising the Head of QA on technical competencies
- Participate in customer or stakeholder meetings as a QA technical representative when required
Requirements
- 7+ years of QA experience, including at least 2 years in a lead, senior, or technical leadership role
- Strong experience in system validation, including firmware validation, hardware-software integration, and working with devboards
- Proven ability to define test strategies, validation plans, and align them with UX specifications, requirements, and standards, in collaboration with the Head of QA
- Ability to mentor QA engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development across teams, in collaboration with the Head of QA
- Proficient in both manual and test automation (PyTest, Appium)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration for QA processes
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and manual validation workflows
