We have two 12 month contract to hire opportunities for an early-career IT professional with a bachelor’s degree and 0–2 years of experience who brings a foundational understanding of TLS/certificates, basic Linux/Windows command-line skills, and strong operational discipline working in ticket-driven environments. They are detail-oriented, process-focused, and comfortable collaborating across application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure certificates are accurately tracked, renewed, validated, and documented—helping prevent outages and security incidents in a highly regulated enterprise environment. 100% Remote.
8-5pm - Hours are EST.

- Its mission is to prevent certificate-related outages and security incidents by ensuring certificates are identified, renewed, validated, and tracked correctly before expiration.
- The team acts as the first line of defense against certificate failures by:
- Monitoring certificate alerts
- Coordinating renewals with application and platform teams
- Validating certificate replacements
- Ensuring ownership and follow-through
- The team operates within a collaborative, operations-focused environment
- Works closely with: Application teams, Platform / infrastructure teams, Security and compliance partners

- D2D Responsibilities:Reviewing certificate expiration alerts and daily queues
- Identifying the owning team for expiring certificates
- Opening or updating tickets to track renewal progress
- Assisting with certificate issuance or reissuance using established tools
- Validating certificate installation (e.g., checking endpoints or configurations)
- Communicating status updates to stakeholders
- Escalating risks when timelines or ownership are unclear
- The work is repeatable, process-driven, and measurable, with clear handoffs.

Job Description:
Position Purpose:
Builds and maintains data communication networks and optimizing processes, procedures, and standards for the operation of effective data networks, specific to LAN/WAN, mobility, and third-party network management. Monitors network performance, coordinates planned maintenance, adjusts hardware components, and responds to network connectivity issues.
Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 0 – 2 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Technical Skills:
One or more of the following skills are desired.
Experience with Storage Area Network
Experience with Cisco Firewalls
Experience with Other: enterprise wide network projects, including fault tolerant LAN/WAN/SANs and disaster recovery
Experience with Other: implementation and design of QoS and traffic prioritization
Experience with Other: MPLS, ATM, Frame Relay, and SONET network deployments
