Senior 2D Animator (Mobile Games)

Game Path is working with a growing Mobile Game Developer based in Barcelona, Spain, actively seeking a Senior 2D Animator to join their established team on a newly developed and original casual gaming project.

The role is permanent and onsite.

What You’ll Do:

• Create expressive 2D character and environment animations for mobile titles.
• Work in Unity to implement, polish, and optimise animations for gameplay.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and developers to achieve a cohesive look and feel.
• Contribute to VFX creation (2D effects, particles, transitions) to enhance gameplay and feedback.
• Maintain consistent style and quality across all assets.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a 2D animator in the games industry (ideally mobile).
• Strong Unity skills with a solid understanding of importing, rigging, timelines, and animation controllers.
• Ability to create engaging animations and effects that work seamlessly in an interactive environment.
• Comfortable tackling generalist art tasks and helping across production when needed.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for games and animation.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona for full-time on-site work.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with VFX tools such as Photoshop, After Effects, or Spine.
• Familiarity with scripting or shader basics in Unity.
• Prior experience working on stylised or casual mobile games.
