This role offers the chance to shape engaging, high-quality English language learning experiences for learners around the world. The Senior Learning Designer will own end-to-end ESL/EFL content initiatives, designing lessons, activities, and curriculum that combine pedagogical rigor with learner engagement. You will manage projects across multiple stakeholders and collaborate with global teams across time zones. The role requires balancing instructional design expertise with creativity, data-informed decision making, and a strong learner-first mindset. You will influence curriculum standards, workflows, and AI-enhanced learning tools, contributing to the growth of a global, innovative learning platform. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while enabling cross-cultural collaboration.
Accountabilities
- Design and develop ESL/EFL curriculum and learning materials tailored to multiple proficiency levels, ensuring pedagogical rigor and learner engagement
- Manage end-to-end delivery of content projects, coordinating timelines, contributors, and cross-functional communication
- Collaborate with global teams across markets and time zones to align on content strategy and execution
- Contribute to quarterly and annual planning for learner strategy and curriculum development
- Evaluate content effectiveness using QA, analytics, and user feedback, proposing improvements where necessary
- Support the development of content standards, peer reviews, and best practices to strengthen team processes
- Native-level fluency in written and spoken English
- Proven experience designing ESL/EFL curriculum or educational content for English learners in an ed tech context
- Strong instructional writing, curriculum planning, and project management skills
- Excellent user empathy and understanding of effective learning materials for diverse proficiency levels
- Ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to improve course quality
- Comfortable with modern technology and tools such as Notion, Slack, AI-assisted content creation, Dropbox, or similar
- Preferred: bilingual or multilingual background and familiarity with international EFL markets (e.g., France, Japan, Korea, LATAM, Taiwan, Vietnam)
