Job Description
Company Overview / About Us:
We are a profitable, UK-based technology-first food business redefining large-scale healthy meal production through automation, data, and systems-led thinking. In just 11 months of trading, we reached $2M ARR while remaining fully profitable and without venture capital funding.
Our trajectory is ambitious and grounded in execution: growing to $7M ARR by the end of 2026 with 20% EBITDA profitability. We are now entering a critical scale phase, building a proprietary operating platform that will power high-volume production, inventory automation, and multi-brand expansion.
This is a rare opportunity to join early, contribute meaningfully, and help shape the technical backbone of one of Europe’s fastest-growing startups.
Job Summary / Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join as a founding-level engineer. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and wants to build real-world, production-critical systems from the ground up.
You will be employee #11 and engineer #3, working closely with the Founder, operational leadership, and an onshore senior developer to architect and scale the company’s core proprietary platform.
The role begins as remote (offshore) with a clearly defined pathway to full relocation to the UK within 12–24 months for strong performers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and scale the company’s proprietary ordering and operations platform
- Develop end-to-end full-stack solutions across customer-facing and internal systems
- Build frontend experiences including ordering flows, dashboards, and loyalty systems
- Architect backend services covering APIs, automation, payments, logistics, and data flows
- Own system performance, security, reliability, and scalability in live production environments
- Implement real-time inventory tracking and batch-level production systems
- Build supplier ordering and purchasing workflows
- Collaborate closely with operations, marketing, and leadership teams
- Architect systems designed to scale to tens of thousands of users
- Take ownership of core systems rather than operating as a feature-only contributor
Required Qualifications / What We’re Looking For:
- 6–8+ years of professional full-stack development experience
- Demonstrable experience building and maintaining production systems used by real customers
- Strong system design fundamentals and experience building platforms from scratch
- Proven ability to design scalable APIs, databases, and frontend flows
- High standards for performance, security, reliability, and maintainability
- Ability to work independently with minimal hand-holding
- Comfortable operating in high-pressure, high-responsibility environments
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Preferred Skills / Nice to Have:
- Experience in logistics, ordering, payments, or operations-heavy platforms
- Background in early-stage or founder-led startups
- Experience with automation, workflow systems, or internal tooling
- Familiarity with transactional data models, queues, and integrations
- Interest in robotics, automation, or applied AI
- Experience owning greenfield platforms or major system migrations
Technology Stack & Architecture:
You will work hands-on with a modern, production-grade stack designed for scale and reliability:
- Next.js (React) for customer ordering, loyalty, dashboards, and internal tools
- Node.js + TypeScript (NestJS) for structured, modular backend services
- PostgreSQL as the source of truth for inventory, loyalty ledgers, supplier orders, and audit logs
- Supabase (Auth / Storage / Postgres) as the managed backend foundation
- Redis + BullMQ (or equivalent) for background jobs, reordering logic, reconciliation, and supplier sync
- Event and outbox patterns for reliable inventory and loyalty transactions
- REST APIs and modern authentication systems
- Cloud deployment using Vercel, AWS, or GCP
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday + occasional weekends
- GMT: 08:00 – 20:30
- Indian Standard Time (IST): 13:30 to 02:00
This role requires a significant time commitment (60+ hours per week).
Benefits / What We Offer:
- Monthly salary range: INR 30 - 33 LPA (Yearly)
- Performance-based salary increases aligned with company revenue growth
- Equity participation as an early employee and core engineer
- Clear and supported relocation pathway to the UK within 12–24 months
- Opportunity to be employee #11 and engineer #3 in a high-growth European startup
- Direct collaboration with founders and senior decision-makers
- High autonomy, ownership, and the chance to build career-defining systems.
