A high-growth biotech company has a disruptive product portfolio that has added 5+ million users the last few years and experienced multiple years of double-digit YOY growth. The wearable digital products provide real time monitoring of a chronic medical condition that affects over 10% of the US population. The market-leading products provide personal, actionable insights, are easy to use and reduce hospitalizations by up to 50%. They are scaling up their US marketing team and adding a newly created position focused on US commercial marketing. This is a high visibility role on a team that’s known for innovative, bold product strategies.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will focus on HCP marketing targeted for government channel, where the product is the market leader with a strong and growing presence. The product has hardware, software and AI elements and you will work broadly across these elements. You can align for this role with a background in medical device or biopharma if you have a strong HCP marketing background, so this position offers the rare chance to move into digital medical device products.
You will own branding, messaging and positioning for channels targeting health care providers in this position. You will develop strategies, create campaigns/programs and execute tactics for the government channel. You will scope projects, manage the budget and select and manage agencies/vendors. You will work cross functionally with leaders in sales, legal and regulatory as well as routinely presenting to executive leadership.
Marketing is seen as an integral part of the sales and product adoption strategy, so this is a high visibility position. The products have a dedicated, high-performing sales team for this channel and both sales and marketing have a service mindset for customers. The person who will succeed in this role will exhibit a service mindset, value strong collaboration and have excellent communication skills. This is a broader role than traditional Product Management and has commercial aspects with significant growth potential. You’ll also cross over into EHR integration features, software data platforms, market access strategies and government strategy.
We need an expert who is strong in HCP marketing who can present and defend recommendations with executive level senior management. Overnight travel is domestic and estimated at 15%.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of in the med tech/biopharma/biotech space in HCP marketing
- Experience with brand marketing, including branding, messaging and positioning
- Strong executive presentation and influencing skills
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA or similar preferred
A highly competitive base salary is provided, along with a yearly cash bonus, generous 401k match, and a comprehensive benefits package. The base salary is $130,000-$261,000.
This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area with an onsite work style. Financial assistance is available for relocation support.
