IT Applications Development Lead (Lead Dot Net Developer)

(Hybrid – Atlanta, GA)

Contract Duration: 5+ Months (with potential annual renewal)

We’re seeking an IT Applications Development Lead to oversee day‑to‑day operations and guide a team of 8–10 software engineers. This role ensures enterprise applications run efficiently while driving best practices, technical leadership, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT engineers/consultants.
  • Oversee software development, coding quality, and delivery standards.
  • Implement best practices for application supportability and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with architects to ensure proper software design execution.
  • Recommend solutions to enhance application quality and performance.
  • Work closely with project managers throughout the software life cycle.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide the team to resolution.
  • Support hiring efforts by interviewing and selecting qualified talent.
  • Prepare operational and performance reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 5+ years in IT management, technical leadership, or project management
  • Technical certifications preferred


Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years leading or supervising technical teams
  • Experience with custom applications or COTS customization
  • Hands‑on development experience with:
  • .NET, C#, Kendo UI Telerik, Web API, REST API, JSON, SQL Server, Oracle, XML, HTML5, AngularJS
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM
  • Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM and tools like TFS/Visual Studio Team Services
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills


Work Conditions

  • Fixed 8‑hour schedule, Monday–Friday (start between 7–9 AM ET)
  • Hybrid role; local candidates preferred
  • Must follow State policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Contract ends with the fiscal year; annual renewals possible
  • Must have a reliable remote‑work setup and personal cell phone
  • Travel reimbursement available per state policy (commute/relocation not covered)
