Product Designer – AI Shopping App (Remote)
We are building the app that makes every purchase decision effortless.
JOSEPHA is an AI-powered shopping app that finds the best price across all merchants in seconds. No more opening 15 tabs. No more wondering if you're getting ripped off. We show you the best deal, and you trust it.
We're growing fast and we need a designer who can make our app feel as trustworthy as it is useful.
What You'll Do
Own the entire design. You're not filling in specs someone else wrote. You'll shape how millions of people compare products, and decide when and where to buy.
Specifically:
- Design UX/UI for our mobile app (iOS & Android) and web
- Create the first-run experience that turns installs into active users
- Design trust patterns: how we show price confidence, merchant reliability, delivery accuracy
- Build micro-interactions and animations that make the app feel alive
- Write clear specs for developers and review their implementations
- Run usability tests, analyze feedback, and ship improvements fast
- Collaborate directly with the founder on product direction
What We're Looking For
Experience that matters:
- You've designed consumer mobile apps that grew. Bonus if they hit 1M+ users
- You've worked on trust-critical products (fintech, marketplaces, comparison apps, e-commerce)
- You've improved activation or retention metrics and can talk about how
- You've designed systems that communicate uncertainty or confidence to users (e.g., "price may change," "verified," "estimated")
Skills:
- Exceptional taste in visual and interaction design
- Proficient in Figma, design systems, and component libraries
- Experience with rapid prototyping tools (Lovable, v0, Framer, or similar)
- You understand growth loops and what makes users come back
- You design for speed and interactions that feel instant
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
