Job Description

We're hiring a Product Designer to shape an events platform that is replacing the UXDX.com backend but as a flexible SaaS product.

You will design two connected surfaces:

  • A highly usable organiser admin product (SaaS backend) for planning and operating events at scale
  • A high quality, conversion mindful attendee experience (front end) for event pages, schedules, and registration

Primary focus: clear hierarchy, strong content design, and consistent interaction patterns.

Secondary focus: creating a scalable design system so the product stays coherent as it grows.

Location: In-Person at Wayco Ruzafa, Valencia

Type: Full time or Contract if you prefer

Start: Today :)

Compensation: €30,000 - €35,000 + bonuses (we do a 10% profit share each year).

What you will work onOrganiser admin (SaaS backend)

You will simplify complex event operations into confident workflows, including:

  • Event setup for single events and multi day conferences
  • Multi track schedules, session creation, and agenda management
  • Speaker management (profiles, submissions, approvals, assets)
  • Ticketing (tiers, discount codes, upgrades, invoicing basics)
  • Attendee management (registration data, check in support, segmentation)
  • Sponsor and exhibitor experiences (packages, pages, placements)
  • Comms and notifications (announcements, reminders, calendar flows)
  • Roles and permissions (organisers, volunteers, speakers, sponsors)
  • Reporting and dashboards (sales, attendance, engagement signals)

Attendee experience (front end)

You will design a polished public experience that builds trust and converts:

  • Event landing pages with clear information architecture
  • Registration and checkout flows, mobile first
  • Schedule browsing with filtering, favourites, personal agenda
  • Speaker and sponsor pages, maps, practical info
  • Post purchase flows (tickets, receipts, joining instructions)
Responsibilities
  • Own end to end product design from discovery to delivery
  • Map key journeys across organiser, attendee, speaker, and sponsor roles
  • Define information architecture and navigation across admin and public surfaces
  • Design flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high fidelity UI in Figma
  • Create a scalable design system (tokens, components, patterns, states, documentation)
  • Specify edge cases clearly (empty states, errors, permissions, validations)
  • Partner closely with engineering to ship high quality implementations
  • Use research and feedback loops to iterate (usability testing, support insights, analytics)
What good looks like
  • Organisers can set up a conference without feeling overwhelmed
  • Admin workflows are fast, predictable, and resilient to real world complexity
  • Attendee journeys are clear, responsive, and conversion aware
  • UI consistency improves over time because the system scales
  • Fewer support tickets caused by confusing flows and missing states
Must have
  • Portfolio showing shipped product design work (ideally SaaS admin plus a public facing surface)
  • Strong interaction design for complex workflows (tables, filters, bulk actions, permissions)
  • Confident visual design: typography, spacing, hierarchy, layout discipline
  • Experience designing transactional flows (sign up, registration, checkout)
  • Practical approach to research and validation
  • Strong collaboration and communication with product and engineering
  • Accessibility fundamentals (contrast, focus states, keyboard paths)
Nice to have
  • Event tech or conference operations experience
  • Data heavy UI and reporting patterns
  • Internationalisation and localisation experience
  • Content design and UX writing strength for conversion journeys
  • Familiarity with sponsorship and exhibitor workflows
Tools and ways of working
  • Figma or AI prototyping tool
  • You will pair with a developer and implement the designs immediately after quick prototyping - there are no handovers
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and iterating in small slices - we want to get the first version out asap, we can iterate in production when we get real customer feedback.
What to send
  • A link to your portfolio (with 1 to 2 case studies you are proud of)
  • A short note on why this problem space interests you
  • Your location, availability, and preferred working arrangement
