Machine Learning Software Engineer – Medical Imaging

Role Overview

As a Machine Learning Software Engineer, you will join a growing AI team and work at the intersection of applied machine learning, infrastructure, and product development. You will help design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered medical imaging systems used in real-world clinical environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain software systems that support AI-powered image enhancement and analysis within clinical workflows
  • Develop deep learning network architectures and train models using medical imaging data
  • Deploy and maintain ML systems in both cloud and on-site environments
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and ML infrastructure
  • Improve performance and efficiency of deep learning models for deployment on standard hospital scanners
  • Collaborate closely with research teams on next-generation AI medical imaging products
  • Design, document, and test software systems and models
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and maintain detailed logs
  • Support Quality Management System (QMS) processes for AI/ML Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)
  • Participate in data protection, audits, and compliance activities
  • Contribute to publications, patents, and dissemination of new technologies

Qualifications


Required:

  • Strong programming skills in Python, C, and/or C++
  • Solid understanding of deep learning pipelines, preferably applied to medical imaging
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, and IEC 62366
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, ML Ops, or full-stack development


Nice to Have:

  • 5+ years of experience working on medical imaging software
