About the Opportunity:
The organization is transforming the dental industry by simplifying and modernizing dental practice functions through technology. The Director of IT will lead and develop the Corporate IT function and drive technology operations across Manufacturing and Supply Chain sites. This role includes ownership of the customer-facing IT hardware experience, particularly laptop lifecycle and management. Reporting to the VP of Business Systems & IT, this leader will create a secure, scalable, and service-oriented IT environment supporting internal teams and external customer delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Define and execute IT and InfoSec strategy for Corporate and Manufacturing.
• Build and lead a high-performing IT team with defined roles and accountability.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing Ops, Engineering Security, and Product teams to align IT infrastructure with goals.
• Manage the IT budget, including operational and project costs, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
• Oversee management and security of employee devices, collaboration tools, and enterprise SaaS.
• Manage internal IT support and service desk functions to maintain employee satisfaction.
• Enforce endpoint management, identity access, and cybersecurity policies.
• Drive efficiencies in IT processes such as Hire-to-Retire and Asset Management.
• Ensure reliability of office technology and workspace infrastructure, including A/V solutions.
• Establish and maintain IT infrastructure in manufacturing and logistics sites, ensuring data integrity.
• Ensure high availability and resilience of operational and industrial IT systems.
• Consult with Product, Engineering, and Customer IT teams to secure and scale customer hardware.
• Implement IT governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001).
• Manage vendor relationships and IT asset inventory.
• Maintain business continuity, backup, and disaster recovery plans across sites.
Requirements:
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience with 3+ years in leadership or director roles.
• Proven success in scaling IT organizations.
• Deep knowledge of endpoint management, enterprise networking, VPNs, SSO (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, Soti), and SaaS operations.
• Hands-on experience with corporate IT, site IT infrastructure, and secure customer hardware provisioning.
• Experience supporting operational technology environments including factory floor systems and hybrid infrastructures.
• Strong understanding of IT security, compliance, and device hardening for corporate and customer endpoints.
• Effective communicator with a bias for action; experienced in cross-functional leadership across Product, Security, and Engineering.
• Comfortable working with remote and globally distributed teams.

• Experience with MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune, Kandji, Soti).
• Background in delivering hardware or software products to external customers.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, or similar compliance frameworks.
• ITIL or PMP certifications.
